In 2021, the acquisition of Fatboy, a Dutch company active in the indoor and outdoor furniture and lighting sectors, was finalized, allowing it to reach an export share of 74%, while the weight of e-commerce got 15% of turnover, mainly thanks to direct sales made on the Fatboy and Calligaris platforms. In the second quarter of 2022, Connubia will launch the direct e-commerce platform. In May 2020, Calligaris Group launched Greenbow, a corporate program for environmental and social sustainability, based on a series of measurable initiatives to contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals set out in the UN 2030 Agenda. In this context, 2021 achieved important objectives, including developing about 106 eco-sustainable products and the use of recycled material for 33% of the plastics used. "I am delighted - said Stefano Rosa Iuliana, CEO of the group - with the results achieved in the first quarter, achieved despite the unpredictability of the moment. Calligaris Group will continue to look to strengthen organic growth through brand development and integration initiatives. Moreover, the realization of further complementary and synergistic acquisitions, as those carried out in the last years, continues to represent a strategic objective of primary importance".
