Gentili Mosconi completes acquisition of Lanificio Cesare Gatti

Gentili Mosconi has completed the acquisition of Lanificio Cesare Gatti, a historic company in the Biella textile district. The business has been transferred to the newly formed Cesare Gatti, which is owned 70% by Gentili Mosconi and 30% by Camozzi Group. This transaction supports the group’s strategy to create an integrated hub of textile excellence for the international luxury market.

The new company will implement an industrial relaunch plan focused on producing high-value-added yarns, scarves, and fabrics. The plan emphasizes the recovery of precious fibres and sustainability throughout the luxury supply chain.

The transaction, valued at €600,000 and fully financed with the new company’s own resources, was completed following a court-supervised competitive procedure as part of Lanificio Cesare Gatti’s restructuring process.
