STOCK MARKET / Wall Street closes sharply lower, Nasdaq -2.15%

Wall Street ended the day with significant losses as concerns over interest rates and geopolitical tensions weighed heavily on investor sentiment. It was a rough Monday across the board for U.S. markets. The Dow Jones fell by 0.84%, closing at 37,103.86 points, while the S&P 500 dropped 1.57% to finish at 4,910.42 points. The Nasdaq recorded the steepest decline, losing 2.15% to close at 15,053.39, dragged down by weakness in tech stocks. The Russell 2000 tracks small-cap companies and sharply declined, falling 2.57% to 1,738.30 points.
