The acquisition of Cinisi Florio Park Hotel, soon to be VOI Florio Resort, marks another strategic step in Alpitour World’s long-term plan to expand and enhance its owned hospitality portfolio. This €20 million investment, covering purchase and redevelopment, aligns with the Group’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Italy’s leading leisure destinations through high-quality resorts. Sicily remains a key market, already home to six Alpitour World properties under the VOIhotels and VRetreats brands.

The future VOI Florio Resort is located on the Gulf of Castellammare within a four-hectare park overlooking the sea. The four-star resort includes 21 buildings, with 17 housing 210 guest rooms, and a central building with the lobby, bar, and a panoramic restaurant featuring a sea-view terrace.  Amenities include a private beach, swimming pools for adults and children, a 350-square-metre wellness spa, a conference centre for up to 400 guests, and a wide range of sports facilities. These features align with the VOIhotels model, which emphasizes wellness, sport, and high-quality family leisure experiences.

“The acquisition of VOI Florio Resort fits perfectly into our expansion and investment strategy, aimed at increasing our presence in Italy’s leading leisure destinations and upgrading existing properties,” said Paolo Terrinoni, CEO of VOIhotels. “Alpitour World’s deep-rooted hospitality expertise, combined with strong synergies across the Group, allows us to enhance the value of strategic assets and attract both domestic and international guests.”  The integrated Alpitour World ecosystem, which combines hospitality, tour operations, and air transport, plays a key role. The resort’s proximity to Palermo Airport and the direct Palermo–New York flight by Neos are significant drivers of international appeal and long-term value.  With 27 properties across VOIhotels and VRetreats, Alpitour World continues its growth strategy through targeted investments, asset redevelopment, and expanding high-quality hospitality offerings in destinations with strong tourism potential. This approach reinforces its position as a leading player in the European leisure hospitality market.
